Big Firm Talent, Small Firm Service

Our goal is to help our clients achieve successful and efficient results in the resolution of complicated civil and commercial disputes. We combine large firm ability and creativity with small firm proficiency, pragmatism and plasticity to achieve client objectives.  The firm focuses its practice on real estate and land use issues, and civil and commercial litigation, including creditor's rights, business disputes, personal injury, and insurance bad faith in both state and federal courts. Additionally, we provide strategic advice in the areas of risk-management, dispute avoidance/resolution, and best corporate practices.

We will review your case free of charge and let you know your options.

Mike represented us fairly, advocated strongly for our case and was forthright about what we could expect and his recommendations in how to proceed. He kept communication lines open and was accessible whenever we needed clarification or reassurance that the case was progressing as expected. And, as mentioned above, he is extremely well versed in his field of real estate law. He also has a great sense of humor! I would unequivocally recommend him to anyone needing this type of legal representation.”

”Michael is a worthy opponent of mine (and dare I say a friend as well), who has handled a number of property damage suits against carriers I represent. He is very experienced in property bad faith law, appropriately aggressive yet very pragmatic in addressing the specific needs of his clients. I look forward to working on his cases because of his professionalism and candor.”

”Michael Brownlee was the first person we contacted upon forming our company back in 2009. He was able to help guide us through every facet of starting our business beginning with filing for our partnership status to drafting our operating agreement. As our business continues to grow, the has been our most trusted partner and he continually advises us on new ways to ensure we minimize our risk and exposure to litigation. We have been very fortunate to have Michael represent us and know that the success that we have had as a company is a direct reflection on the guidance we have received from Michael.
Michael was a complete advocate for us as his clients and represented us in court with polish and patience. He also offered advice that we had not thought of and saved us by filing the correct paperwork in the right timeframe.
Mr. Brownlee helped my family and I recover more than money, he helped us reclaim some of our dignity. Not only did he stand up to the insurance company, he helped us negotiate our expenses to ensure that we received the most from our recovery.
My wife and I would like to sincerely thank attorney Michael Brownlee for handling our case. Mr. Brownlee was very personable and a pleasure to work with. It was Mr. Brownlee’s specific experience and expertise in dealing with Insurance companies that allowed him to make the best legal argument possible in our case, which resulted in a quick and reasonable settlement without question, without having to endure a jury case or deposition. Thanks again for the positive legal experience.
Way to go Brownlee & Associates Team! I never thought I would have received a penny, but your ability to aggressively articulate my claim produced fast and fair results.”
The attorneys at Brownlee & Associates are professional and very responsive. They have helped several of my clients with large real estate purchases. I would highly recommend this firm for Mr. Brownlee’s law/contract expertise.

One of the greatest tools that a lawyer has is objectivity.  Most of our clients either want to pick a fight, or have already gotten into a fight.  The role of the attorney is to evaluate the merits of a client’s claims and defenses without the pride and other emotions that inherently cloud the judgment of individuals involved in civil litigation.  I cannot over state this point.  In my experience some of the biggest client mistakes arise from irrational, emotionally based motives that end up having real negative consequences on the client.  No matter how much you pay your attorney, you will almost certainly never recover the “pound of flesh,” that many clients mistakenly seek out.  To that end, we will always advise our clients to take the most efficient path towards results.  Be it a simple letter or full scale jury trial, we do what it takes to solve problems.

About Our Firm

Not too big, not too small

We are a small real estate and civil litigation firm that services most of Colorado.  By keeping our size down and remaining very selective in our case intake, we strive to give our clients the kind of professionalism and service that is so often lost when dealing with a larger firm.
